I was fortunate enough to attend a faculty-led painting trip to Italy in August of 2015. This trip was designed to help us view landscapes the way a painter would: by finding impactful value relationships and identifying relative color temperature and saturation within a given scene. The trip served as a reminder to me for why I wanted to pursue a creative field in the first place. I continue to be grateful for having had the opportunity, because each day I am reminded to experience the world a little differently.
