Distinctly Pendleton

a wayfinding system and community engagement piece

I worked with a team of four other graphic communication designers to design a wayfinding system that would enrich a forgotten Cincinnati neighborhood called Pendleton. This community is considered by many to be dilapidated and a bit seedy, but the team found it to be rich in history and brimming with pockets of beauty. We believed that if the neighborhood could be aesthetically enriched, issues perceived as troublesome by many would abate. Our design was evaluated by a panel of design professionals and, after a series of presentations, we were each awarded a scholarship because of the perceived effectiveness of our comprehensive design efforts.
